The Cabot Creamery “Put a Bad Beat On Hunger” tournament drew 421 total entries to create a prize pool of $142,930. In addition $4,210 was raised for a great cause, The New Jersey food bank. The players played until the early morning hours at which time they agreed to an adjusted payout agreement.
Jeremey Barnett held the chip lead with 1,850,000 and he takes home $11,915 and the trophy. Barnett has been on fire and is fresh of a win here at the Borgata in May. He took down the $300 Borgata Summer Kickoff NLH Event earning over $16,000.
The players also agreed to one hand out for the Borgata Poker Open WPT Championship seat. Mike Machalani was the lucky winner of the seat when his flopped two pair and turned a full house. The other ten players will all take home $10,000 and they are all smiles as the tournament comes to an end.
