Day 1B of Event 8 has come to an end after 16 levels of play and it’s Jackie Liu leading the way. Liu got off to a red hot start out of the gate and never looked back. Her goal was to put more chips in the bag than Mike Rossitto and she accomplished it by bagging 458,000 and the Day 1B chip lead.
Daniel Moriarty is right on her heels with 430,500 and Sebastian Marquez rounds out the top three Day 1B chip stacks with 409,000.
WSOP bracelet winner Ryan Eriquezzo is still in the hunt. Eriquezzo doubled up in one of the last hands of the night to put 190,000 in the bag.
Approximately 165 combined Day 1A-B survivors will return on Tuesday July 17 at 12 P.M. noon to resume Day 2 play and play down to a winner.
