After two long days, Halle LoGrasso finally has her first Borgata trophy! She was one of only four women among the 106 players in this Omaha/Stud mixed event and she managed to claw her way into the chip lead, heads-up against a WSOP bracelet winner!
She and David Arsht agreed to an adjusted payout where each would collect $7,352, but as the chip leader, Hallee claimed the win and the trophy. This is now her best live cash and will boost her lifetime earnings by about 50%.
She’s been playing tournaments and reporting cashes for more than 12 years. “I don’t play anyplace else,” referring to Borgata as her favorite place to play poker. Although she’s most frequently seen in the No Limit Hold’em games, “I love this game,” she said about the Omaha/Stud mix.
Hallee has now added her name to a very elite list of women who have won open events here at Borgata — It doesn’t happen very often. She’s retired now, but used to work in marketing and advertising. Now in addition to poker, she enjoys golfing and cooking.
Her husband, who she met 43 years ago playing bridge, was here rooting her on. They have recently relocated from Voorhees, NJ to West Berlin, NJ, shaving a few minutes off their commute to Atlantic City.
