Shankar Pillai won his first WSOP bracelet back in 2007. Now a dozen years later, he’s earned his second, in one of the toughest fields. He won the Bracelet Winners Only event, which was only open to players who had previously won WSOP bracelets. That’s by definition a tough field.
There were 185 entrants and Shankar managed to get heads-up with Michael Gagliano, a BorgataPoker.com sponsored pro. He came out on top of that battle, earning his second bracelet and more than $71,000 in the process. The New Yorker has had more success out in Las Vegas than back here on the East Coast. His best finish in a Borgata Open Championship was 7th place in the 2017 Fall Poker Open, which earned him $43,587.
