The fifth and final Almighty Stack flight has come to an end after 17 levels of play and it’s Tyng Low leading the way with 1,351,000. John Alesi is right on his heels with 1,213,000 and there are a handful of players over a million including Carlos Alvarado and Andrew Mullen.

Approximately 440 Day 1A-E survivors will return on Friday July 20 at 12 P.M. to resume Day 2 play. Thomas Beccari from Day 1B is the overall chip leader with a staggering 2,457,000.

Ishaan Arora

A player raised to 40,000 from early position and Ishaan Arora moved all in for over 450,000. A short stacked player put his last 63,000 in the pot from the button. It folded back to the early position player who tanked for nearly a minute before calling for his last 431,000.

The dealer spread the flop and Arora spiked his ace in the window to take the lead. The turn was the and the completed the board. Chris Csik raised to 12,000 from late position and both players in the blinds called. They went three handed to the flop and it checked to Csik who bet 27,000. The player in the small blind called and they went heads up to the turn.

The small blind checked and Csik threw out a bet of 27,000. His opponent threw his hand into the muck and Csik added the pot to his stack.

Joe Reddick raised to 7,500 from early position and the player in the cutoff called. They went heads up to the flop and Reddick continued with a bet of 9,000. His opponent raised to 22,000 and Reddick called.

The dealer burned and turned the and Reddick checked. His opponent bet 28,500 and Reddick check-raised to 60,000. The player moved all in for 120,000 and Reddick snap called.

“Do you have a set” said the player turning over for two pair. Reddick did indeed have a set as he turned over for top set. His opponent was drawing dead and the meaningless completed the board to earn Reddick the pot and the elimination.

Randall Brooks

Randall Brooks and his opponent went heads up to the flop. Brooks checked and his opponent bet 26,000 into a main pot of about 25,000. Brooks check-raised throwing out a stack of red chips covering his opponent who went into the tank.

“Do you have a flush draw” he asked but Brooks sat in silence. “I call” said the player pushing his last 115,000 forward turning over for middle pair. Brooks showed and was in great shape to score the knockout.

The turn and river improved Brooks to a full house to earn him the pot and the knockout.
