Mark Rabizadeh continued to move his stack higher and caught another bunch of chips late in the day. He opened to 11,000 from the hijack, picked up a caller in the cutoff, and another player moved all in for 134,000 from the small blind. Rabizadek reshipped with his big stack and the button released.
Rabizadeh:
Opponent:
Rabizadek was far out front, dodged an ace on the flop, and the case king came on the
turn to lock up his hand. He knocked another player out and moved his stack over 500,000 with only three more hands left in Flight A.

The Day 1A Event 8 players are now on an unscheduled 15-minute color up break. Scott Einiger continues to climb the chip counts and he is now sitting behind one of the bigger stacks in the room with about 250,000.
Einiger had a hot Summer in Las Vegas notching three WSOP cashes including a 151st WSOP $10,000 NLH Main Event finish good for over $57,000.

Flight A players are back after their final break of the day with 13 tables running and three more levels to go before they bag. We’ll lose a few more tables before than and it should be in the neighborhood of 75 players advancing to Day 2.
The new big stack in the room belongs to Mark Rabizadeh and his 379,000 leads the field. He has a little success in this event and final tabled it back during the 2014 Borgata Summer Poker Open.

We are flying right along in the Signature Room and we are down to 150 players already with Level 12 about to come to an end. That will leave them only four more levels to run up a baggable stack.
The Man Known as “Faz” did his part to get the field shorter. He was in a multi-way pot to the flop when an opponent moved all in for ~30,000. “Faz” reshipped to isolate and said “two pair”.
“Faz”:
Opponent:
His top two pair was ahead of the rockets and he did not get counterfeited at the board finish and
to push him up to 190,000.

Among the 188 players still in Flight A is Frank Cieri. The 2008 World Poker Tour final tableist was laid up for most of 2017 following open heart surgery to replace a bad valve. He says he’s feeling much better and his ticker is in tip top shape.

While the rest of the players were heading off on the break, Sonny Lee was sticking around trying to win some chips. He was mixed up in a four-way pot to the flop when he moved all in for 23,700. Mike McGuinness released but another opponent reshipped for 48,700. The last player in the hand released and they were heads up.
Lee:
Opponent:
Lee was ahead with ace-high/gutshot draw but needed to dodge an open-ended straight draw. The turn was a blank and the
river locked up the hand to move him up to 120,000. Lee went on his shortened break but it was worth it.

There is no slowdown in Attilio Bitondo. The Borgata regular turned the Big 9-0 earlier this year but he’s still coming into these huge, multi-day events trying to win a title. Bitondo already has one nice cash this series when he was the final table bubble “boy” on Saturday in the “Put a Bad Beat on Hunger” event. He’s back today and sitting side-by-side with BorgataPoker.com sponsored pro Craig Rubinstein.
Shortly before he turned 90, Bitondo picked up his first tournament win and it earned him a WSOP Circuit ring for the effort.

On the turn with a board of , Jack King led out for 6,000, only to have the player on his left shove for ~38,000. Jack tanked for a minute or so, then popped in the chips to call.
Seat 4 had pocket 7s, but Jack’s (Queens-up) was ahead and only had to fade two outs on the river. When the
completed the board, Jack dragged the pot, felting his opponent and chipping up to about 130,000.
