Gerard Fabiano put on a master-class on Omaha/Stud High/Low Mix during this two-day event. He took the chip lead late on Day 1 and held it wire-to-wire to claim his first Borgata Open title.
The high school teacher from Belleville, New Jersey, held the best cards or caught the cards he needed during this event and outlasted the likes of WSOP bracelet winner Chris Reslock and two-time Borgata Open titleist John Lytle.
When he’s not teaching business and computers or coaching vollyball, Gerard likes to play the non-hold’em games. He actually got heads-up with Chris Reslock in the 2012 Winter Poker Open HORSE event, eventually taking 2nd place to Chris.
He hopes to make it back next week for the Pot Limit Omaha event, and possibly the Deepest Stack.
