The Borgata Summer Poker Open Championship is down to its last six players and they are set to play for the title this afternoon on the live-stream final table stage. It’s a great group of players who battled for 15 hours yesterday to get to this point.
They have a combined total of nearly $2.5 million in career earnings with high-stakes cash game player Kane Kalas winning the lion’s share. His best tournament result came here in 2014 when he finished second in the WPT Borgata Poker Open for more than $500,000. Guo Chen was one spot better this past September; he became the first natural-born Chinese player to put his name on the WPT Champions Cup after a win in the Borgata Poker Open Championship.
Sumeet Wayachal is leading the last six players and looking for his first tournament win. He came close earlier this series when he finished seventh in the Almighty Stack. Greg Nerenberg returns with a second-place stack not far behind Wayachal. He’ll have a lot of friends on the rail (both live and on the live stream) as he goes for his first Borgata win to go with two Parx Big Stack titles.
David Albis comes back with the third biggest stack and this is his second cash of the series. Jess Mercado rounds out the final six players and he’s the only one with some poker jewelry from the WSOP Circuit win in 2014.
These six players will sit down on the live-stream final table at 2pm and battle for the Borgata Summer Poker Open Championship. The live stream will run with a 30-minute delay featuring hole cards with Vinny Pahuja and Ricky Guan on the comms. You can find the live stream on our BorgataAC Twitch channel or on our Facebook page.
