Sean Bishop and Venkata Ganne were heads up on the river on the board. There was about 150,000 in the pot and Bishop checked.
Ganne moved all in for 189,500 sending Bishop deep into the tank. After close to a minute Bishop tossed in a single chip signifying the call and Ganne turned over for just ace high.
Bishop vaulted out of his seat in excited as he slammed his on the table and his middle pair was enough to send Ganne to the rail.
Ganne was eliminated in the bubble and the remaining 18 players are now all in the money and guaranteed a minimum of $858 for their efforts. “Come on guys, I don’t get a round of applause that call was on the bubble” joked Bishop as he stacked his chips.

Andrew Klein raised to 25,000 from under the gun and a middle position player called. Oren Genzel put his last 9,000 in the pot from the small blind and the big blind folded.
They checked down the runout and Klein turned over
for a pair of sevens. That was enough to collect Genzel’s $100 bounty as he flashed
for just king high before tossing it into the muck.

The Event 20 players have just returned from dinner and play is back underway here in the Signature Room. We are just six spots away from the money and Ryan Dodd is still in the hunt.
The 21 year old Dodd burst onto the Borgata live poker scene just days after he became of age. Dodd took down his first Borgata Deepstacks Challenge title last month and made three final tables but he was just getting started.
He returned this series and locked up his new largest career tournament score after chopping the $1,090 Eight Max NLH event with Mike Haberman.
Dodd earned over $24,500 for his runner up finish and fell just one spot short of his first Borgata Poker Open trophy. He wouldn’t have to wait long as he found himself at the final table of the $280 Double Green Chip Bounty NLH event just days later.
This time Dodd would take home the trophy and nearly $10,000 after a heads up deal with Tony James. Dodd is playing a healthy stack of about 250,000 and is looking to finish strong as the Borgata Summer Poker Open winds down.
