Borgata has finalized the tournament schedule for next month’s 2016 Summer Poker Open! The series runs from July 12 through July 29 and there will be 19 trophy events with buy-ins as low as $200 + $30 all the way up to the Championship Event with a buy-in of $2,500 + $200.
Both the Championship event and the $500+$60 Summer Open NLH Kick-Off event carry $1 Million Guarantees on total buy-ins. Guarantees through the series total nearly $3 Million! All your favorite events are back, including the Almighty Stack ($300K GTD) and Super Stack Elevator events, 40 Big Blinds, Ladies and Seniors tournaments.
As usual, there will be two $100,000 Guaranteed Saturday Series Deep Stack NLH events, Pot Limit Omaha, $1K SixMax NLH and a $1K Semi-Turbo NLH, plus two Deep Stack Black Chip Bounty tournaments — all of which are trophy events. There is also a $500 + $60 Super Survivor.
In addition to those crowd favorites, something new has been added: a $260 + $40 “Unique Stacks” No Limit Hold’em Re-Entry event. “Unique Stacks” means that when calculating the prize pool, only initial entries will be counted — not re-entries — which means paying fewer places with bigger payouts!
There will also be a full slate of secondary cash tournaments and qualifiers, beginning Tuesday, July 12. Click here for the full Summer Open schedule.
Last Summer Will ‘The Thrill’ Failla took down the Championship event, topping a field of 497 entrants to claim more than $283,000. He also extended his record as ‘the winningest Borgata player ever’ to 7 titles!
Mark your calendars now for the 2016 Borgata Summer Poker Open and we hope to see you there!
