Torrie Fogg (New Providence, NJ)

On a flop of {6d}{3d}{3h}, the player in seat 4 moved in and got looked up by Torrie “The Black Shark” Fogg.  Seat 4 held {Ac}{qh} for two overcards.  Torrie had {4s}{3s} for trip 3s and had his opponent drawing slim.

When the {kh} came on the turn, Seat 4 was officially drawing dead and eliminated from the tournament.  The {9d} was the irrelevant river card.

With that pot, Torrie chipped up to more than 1.6 million, reclaiming the chip lead.

Torrie Fogg won a huge pot with trip sevens and his chip stack is over 1,400,000.

Torrie “The Black Shark” Fogg has really been chipping up these last couple of levels and just sent one player to the rail.

From under the gun, Fogg called a pre-flop raise to 15,000 by a player just to his left as did the player on the big blind. The flop brought {7c}{5s}{7d}. The big blind checked and so did Fogg. The original raiser then made a hefty bet and the big blind folded.

After thinking a bit, Fogg re-raised. His opponent then moved all-in and Fogg made the call showing {Ah}{7h} for trips. His opponent tabled {Kh}{Ks}. The turn and river were blanks and The Black Shark gobbled up a huge pot. He is now one of the chip leaders with more than 1,400,000 chips.

Fogg has had a good day so far, he says, by “making some moves and getting some good hands.”

The native of Lebanon, Pa., celebrated with a white wine. Cheers!

David Deneau took a couple of pots right at the end of Level 16.

David Deneau grabbed a couple pots in a row at the end of this level. We caught up with him in heads-up action on a flop of {5d}{Jc}{10s}. He checked from the small blind and his opponent bet 15,000 from early position.

The turn brought the {Qh} and both players checked. They also both checked on the {6h} river. Deneau tabled {Ac}{10h} to take a nice pot with his pair of 10s.

On the next hand, Deneau called from the button when action folded to him. The small and big blinds both came along. The flop brought {4d}{7d}{As}. Action checked to him and Deneau bet 5,000. The small blind folded and the big blind player made the call.

The {Jd} fell on the river and Deneau bet 5,000 after the big blind checked. He raked the 20,000-chip pot after his opponent folded. His chip stack continues to rise.

Event 23: Four-way All-in Gets Chopped Up 2 Ways

July 31, 2015 by seanchaffin Leave a Comment

Level 15 (2,000/4,000/400)
Total Entries: 389
Players Remaining: 160
Chip Average: 104,211

Jo Stagliano – Minotolo, N.J.

Jo Stagliano – Minotolo, N.J.

We caught up with a crazy hand on Table 10 right near the end of Level 14. A player in middle position moved all-in for his last 28,500. The player in the cutoff, Jo Stagliano, then moved the last of her 29,000 chips in also. The player in the hijack then made the call , and then from the big blind, Mark Buonadonna moved all-in as well.

The hand basically ended up being four smaller stack all-in pre-flop (the player on the hijack had a tiny bit left after all was pushed in). Stagliano showed {As}{Kh} and Buonadonna tabled {Ac}{Kc}. The two other players tabled {Kd}{Qh} and {Kc}{5d} and Buonadonna and Stagliano looked to be in good shape.

The board played out {9s}{4c}{3h} – {2d} – {10s} and the two chopped the pot and sent one player to the rail.
